Farm Camp
We are so excited to announce that starting in June we will be doing one of many week-long farm summer camps. This is a half-day farm animal centered program catered for ages 6-12 that will start June 13th - June 17th from 9am - noon each day. Your child will become a farmhand for the week and learn our farm’s daily operations in which they will be encouraged to get a “little dirty” while interacting with our goats/pigs/alpacas/miniature pony/chickens/emus & turkeys. They will receive hands-on learning and teaching by one of the wonderful experienced owners, Jay. If you have a child who loves the outdoors and animals then this is the day camp for them! We are conveniently located near 485 within the Charlotte city limits so it makes drop off and pick up a breeze!
Each child will receive their very own Cedarbrook Alpaca Farm t-shirt, snack and drink each day, and pictures sent to parents of their farm camp experience with the animals!
Activities for the week will include learning animal behaviors, cleaning and maintaining animal shelters, feeding the animals, hoof trimming, collecting & packaging eggs, getting alpaca fiber ready for processing, and even how to plant their very own vegetable garden to take home and grow. We will also have fun activities and crafts planned such as farm animal trivia and bingo, and paint your own alpaca!
Space is limited to 10 kids per each session.
Children must be dropped off between 8:30 and 8:55am each day and picked up no later than 12:15pm each day. Schedule subject to change.
